Comment: Lincomycin is a lincosamide antibacterial that has activity against Gram-positive and anaerobic bacteria [2]. It was isolated from the actinomycete Streptomyces lincolnensis. Pathogenic species of bacteria that are sensitive to lincomycin include Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, and Mycoplasma.
