Comment: Honokiol is a lignan that is produced by Magnolia trees that has been widely used in traditional medicine in East Asia. It has been described as having many pharmacological effects [2-5], with activities at a number of protein targets [1]. Honokiol's anti-cancer potential has been extensively investigated [3].
