Comment: IL-27 is an IL-12 family cytokine. It is a heterodimeric cytokine that contains an α and a β subunit and is expressed by activated antigen presenting cells [1]. IL-27 interaction with its receptor complex activates the JAK/STAT and p38 MAPK pathways.
