Summary of Clinical Use |
Ceftazidime is approved (in the UK and other EU countries) as a monotherapy to treat a wide range of Gram-negative bacterial infections. It is also available in fixed-dose combination Zavicefta® (approved by the EMA in 2016) and Avycaz® (FDA approval in 2015) which contain ceftazidime + the novel β-lactamase inhibitor avibactam. |
