Cannabidivarin (CBDV) is being investigated for clinical anticonvulsant (anti-epileptic) activity. It is also being evaluated for therapeutic benefit on communication, social interactions, sleep, behaviour, and cognition in people with autism spectrum disorder. In the EU CBDV has orphan designations for the treatment of Rett syndrome (2017) and fragile X syndrome (2018).
