Activation of Met by HGF induces many cellular responses, including proliferation, survival, motility, invasion, and morphological changes [3,5]. Abberant Met activity is associated with tumourigenicity and metastatic potential of tumour cells. Met inhiition aims to reduce the abberant Met activity and thereby slow tumour growth and/or metastasis [4].
