Prodrug quinapril is used in the treatment of hypertension and as an adjunct therapy in the treatment of congestive heart failure.

From the prodrug quinapril. Inhibits the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, which in turn decreases blood pressure. Also causes an increase in plasma renin activity.
