Perindopril is an ACE inhibitor used to treat hypertension, congestive heart failure, post-myocardial infarction and coronary disease.
Perindopril is also a component of Prestalia®, a mixture of perindopril and amlodipine, a drug approved (by the US FDA in 2015) for the treatment of hypertension.

Converted in the liver to active metabolite perindoprilat. Inhibits the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, which in turn decreases blood pressure. Also causes an increase in plasma renin activity.
