Cefteram pivoxil has been granted marketing authorisation in Japan (sold as Tomiron®) where it is used in the treatment of otitis media, sinusitis, urinary tract infections (including cystitis and pyelonephritis) and respiratory infections(Pharyngitis or laryngitis, tonsillitis (including peritonsilli- tis and peritonsillar abscess), acute bronchitis and pneu- monia, caused by susceptible bacteria.
