Bioactivity Comments
Organisms are said to be susceptible to nitrofurantoin if their minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) is ≤32 μg/ml or less. MIC for antibacterial activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus EMRSA-16 is 16 μg/ml in vitro [1].
